BARRY J. DUTOUR Before joining CFT Engineering Inc., Mr. Dutour was employed with Rolf Jensen & Associates, Ltd. With Rolf Jensen & Associates, Ltd., Mr. Dutour managed and provided Building Code and fire protection consulting services for many projects including highrise developments and heritage structures. Mr. Dutour has 20 years of experience in Code analysis, in developing fire protection concepts and in developing fire protection systems for a variety of applications. Prior to joining Rolf Jensen & Associates, Ltd., Mr. Dutour held the position of Supervisor of Engineering with a national insurance loss control organization. His responsibilities included developing fire protection criteria in conjunction with the inspection staff. Mr. Dutour also consulted with customers, municipal officials, Fire Department personnel and engineers on loss control matters including planning, operations and protection systems. Mr. Dutour also conducted detailed sprinkler plan review for contractors and owners and conducted loss control training courses for the insurance industry. Through continuing education, Mr. Dutour has developed an in-depth knowledge of fire protection, including courses in the fire sciences, building codes and industrial safety as well as a number of courses on fire protection systems. Mr. Dutour is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers and is currently a member of the executive of the local chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. Mr. Dutour's past memberships include the Fire Council of Underwriters Laboratories of Canada and the B.C. Fire Chief's Association. He is a former president of the Wood Energy Technicians of British Columbia. |
